Let’s move the parentheses for Nurses Week

Most of the time when we think about wishing someone a Happy Nurses Week, the emphasis would look like this – Happy (Nurses Week) – meaning we want the nurses to have a happy week.

Today, in this short message of thanks and appreciation, I suggest that we change the focus to be more like this – (Happy Nurses) Week.

NursesWeekYou might think that you’ll have a happy nurses week when other people thank you or give you food or gifts, but I’m sure you’ve figured out that if you wait for outside influences to be happy, then you can find yourself out of luck!

Instead, remember this. Every time you go to work (really every time you wake up), you’ve got the power to be a happy nurse. You don’t have to wait for a special week or someone else to be involved. WAHOO! That’s very liberating!

So this year, the best gift you can give yourself (and everyone else you encounter) in honor of Nurses Week is to be a HAPPY NURSE.

Because I’m happy! Because you’re happy! Clap along…

(HAPPY NURSES) WEEK!!
